Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon; cook until softened (about 4-5 minutes).
  2. Mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl to form a slurry; add to the apple mixture and cook until thickened (about 1-2 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Separate and flatten each biscuit dough round to about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Place a tablespoon of apple filling in the center of each biscuit, fold edges over filling, pinching tightly to seal.
  6. Dip each sealed bomb into melted butter and roll in a sugar-cinnamon mixture before placing seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown; let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
