  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon molasses (NOT blackstrap)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cold butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Form dough balls (about 1/4 to 1/3 cup each) and chill for at least 30 minutes.
