  • ½ cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3 oz dark chocolate bar, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. In a stand mixer, cream the room-temperature butter until smooth. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; mix until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture on low speed until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and chopped dark chocolate.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour in the refrigerator.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop large dough balls onto the prepared sheet about three inches apart.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until edges are set but centers appear slightly underbaked.
