  • 3 pieces Turkey Bacon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp yellow cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a medium cast iron pan over medium heat, cook the diced turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux; cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add beef broth, stirring continuously; let simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in milk and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add cream cheese and both types of cheddar; stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Mix in Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and reserved turkey bacon until combined.
