  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar for cream cheese filling
  • 1 large egg for cream cheese filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for cream cheese filling
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour for cream cheese filling
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two loaf pans with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth; mix in egg, vanilla extract, and flour. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, both sugars, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; gradually add to the banana mixture.
  5. Divide the batter between the prepared pans; layer half of the cream cheese filling in each pan before topping with remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely before slicing.
