Creamy White Apple Vinegar Mushroom Chicken is a delicious, quick-to-prepare dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a rich cream sauce enhanced by the tang of white apple vinegar.

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into thinner pieces and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and mushrooms with Italian seasoning. Cook until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for one minute; then stir in white apple vinegar and reduce for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Mix in heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet. Cook until chicken is done and sauce thickens slightly.
