2 large chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
Flour (for dredging)
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup white apple vinegar
Instructions
Cut chicken into thinner pieces and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown; set aside.
In the same skillet, add remaining butter and mushrooms with Italian seasoning. Cook until mushrooms are tender.
Add minced garlic and cook for one minute; then stir in white apple vinegar and reduce for about 2-3 minutes.
Mix in heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet. Cook until chicken is done and sauce thickens slightly.
