  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture and stir until just mixed. Gently fold in diced peaches.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry for about 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove fritters using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  7. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth; drizzle over warm fritters before serving.
