  • 4 boneless skinless salmon fillets (approx. 7oz each)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 12 cloves of garlic, finely diced
  • 1/21 tsp chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add salmon skin-side down; cook until golden brown (about 3 minutes). Flip and cook for another minute.
  3. Move salmon to one side and add butter to the pan. Baste the salmon with melted butter for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Lower heat and sauté garlic and chili flakes for 10-20 seconds. Stir in honey, rice vinegar, and soy sauce; simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  5. Return salmon to the pan and coat with sauce before serving.
