  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup ditalini pasta
  • Olive oil
  • 1 ½ tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil and brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes while breaking it apart.
  2. Add the diced onion, carrots, celery, and minced garlic; sauté until tender for approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the drained beans, crushed tomatoes, and tomato sauce until well combined.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
  5. Once boiling, add ditalini pasta; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10-12 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  6. Lastly, stir in herbs and season to taste before serving.
