  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water. Sprinkle yeast over the top; let stand for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, salt, garlic powder, Italian herbs, and 2 cups of flour into the yeast mixture. Stir until combined.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the risen dough; mix in mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Shape into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
