  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the vanilla cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. In another bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread this mixture over the batter.
  5. Spoon the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer evenly.
  6. Whisk together cocoa powder and milk until combined; drizzle over the top layer of batter.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
