  • 1 lb unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 tsp whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter with egg whites, vanilla extract, sour cream, and warm milk until well combined.
  4. Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with batter.
