  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 2 and 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 7 oz sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. To prepare the crust, mix crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Refrigerate to set.
  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in a saucepan over low heat until smooth. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Blend room temperature butter and light brown sugar together until fluffy. Add half and half and egg yolks; mix well.
  4. Fold in melted chocolate and whipped cream until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the filling into the chilled crust and top with shredded coconut and chopped pecans as desired.
