Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix in cocoa powder, red food coloring, flour, and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, reserving a few tablespoons for later.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until creamy, then mix in an egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter evenly. Drop spoonfuls of reserved brownie batter on top and swirl with a toothpick.
