  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and water; add yeast and let sit until frothy.
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
  3. Combine softened butter, eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla extract; mix into the yeast mixture.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until a soft dough forms; knead until smooth.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl to rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
