  • One white cake mix + ingredients to prepare it
  • One 3 oz. box of Berry Blue Jell-o
  • One 3 oz. box of Cherry Jell-o
  • One 8 oz. tub of whipped topping (thawed)
  • Red & blue food coloring (optional)
  • Patriotic sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare white cake mix according to package directions; let cool completely.
  2. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using a straw or wooden spoon handle.
  3. Dissolve each flavor of Jell-o in separate bowls with boiling water followed by cold water.
  4. Pour blue Jell-o over one section of the cake; repeat with red Jell-o for the remaining sections.
  5. Chill the cake for at least 3-4 hours or overnight.
  6. Once set, spread whipped topping evenly over the cake.
  7. Optionally swirl in food coloring and top with sprinkles.
