  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and marinate them in a mixture of olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the scallops for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and opaque in the center.
  3. For the cilantro lime sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped cilantro, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
