  • 200 g beef fillet steak
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 slices pineapple
  • Mixed salad leaves
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 3 radishes
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 4 tbsp cooked edamame beans
  • 2 spring onions

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, vegetable oil, brown sugar, and rice vinegar. Pour half over the beef and let it marinate for 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the pineapple: Sprinkle with brown sugar on both sides. Grill or pan-fry until caramelized (3-4 minutes).
  3. Sear the steak: Heat the pan until hot and cook the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until seared but pink inside.
  4. Assemble bowls: Divide cooked rice and salad leaves into bowls. Top with grilled pineapple, sliced avocado, radish, cucumber strips, and edamame.
  5. Finish: Cube the rested steak and place it on top of each bowl. Garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds.
