  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for the glaze)
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice blend (for the glaze)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (for the glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt (for the glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (for the glaze)
  • 46 tablespoons heavy cream (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until it turns dark amber. Transfer to a stand mixer bowl.
  2. Mix in brown and granulated sugars until well combined. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until incorporated.
  3. Combine flour, oats, chai spice blend, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to wet mixture.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F; line baking sheets with parchment paper. Portion dough into balls and space them on sheets.
  5. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden; let cool completely.
  6. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, salt, maple syrup, and heavy cream until smooth.
