  • 1 ½2 pounds fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups cold heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease baking pans.
  2. Prepare strawberries by washing, slicing, and mixing with sugar; let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. In another bowl, combine melted butter with sugar. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla.
  5. Gradually alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
