  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp strawberry extract
  • Red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Blend on medium speed until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased baking pan (9×13 inch). Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture on top. Add the remaining batter and swirl gently with a rubber spatula.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before preparing frosting by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, strawberry extract, and red food coloring.
  7. Frost the cooled cake and serve.
