  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ⅓ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup chocolate candies (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF and spray a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Mix in both sugars until combined, then add vanilla extract and one egg, stirring until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet mixture until just mixed.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and half of the reserved candy pieces.
  5. Spread the dough into the prepared pie plate, smoothing the top with an offset spatula. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  6. Press remaining candy pieces onto the surface immediately after removing from the oven.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing into wedges.
