  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened. Allow to cool.
  2. Reserve ¼ cup of the sauce for serving. Pour the rest over the chicken in a mixing bowl and coat well. Marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the chicken for about 5 minutes per side until it reaches an internal temperature of 165º F.
  4. Serve immediately with reserved teriyaki sauce drizzled on top.
