  • 2 teaspoons almond extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for glaze)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (for glaze)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (for glaze)
  • a pinch salt (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and combine it with sugar and yeast; let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a bowl; gradually add to the yeast mixture with melted butter and egg.
  3. Knead dough until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl for about an hour.
