  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk or heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons culinary lavender buds
  • 1 drop light purple gel food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, sour cream or yogurt, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion out dough onto the prepared baking sheet about two inches apart.
